Stephen Doggett

Stephen Doggett ex Budapest

Stephen is a Senior Hospital Scientist with the Department of Medical Entomology at Westmead Hospital in Sydney. Since the beginning of the modern resurgence, Stephen has been at the forefront of documenting the rise and impact of bed bugs within Australia, and has produced numerous articles for industry and scientific journals.

Over the last five years, he has collaborated with a distinguished team of Pest Managers in producing a Code of Practice for the Control of Bed Bugs. The third edition of the standard is now available. Understanding why Australia has such a significantly high population of Bed Bugs and how their industries have collectively worked together to provide a workable solution could be imperative for London, the UK and Europe over the forthcoming years.

If the Pest Management Industry is to provide a proactive service, we need to address the imbalance of service provision, awareness and attitudes. Thus must be done in alliance with the accommodation industry, and through understanding and by learning from the rest of the world.
